Work Experience
I am currently working as a Research Fellow in Biomedical Informatics at Digital Ecosystems & Business Intelligence Institute, Curtin University of Technology, Perth.
I worked as a Part Time Academic at Department of Software Engineering, Faculty of IT, University of Technology Sydney form July 2005 to February 2007.
I worked as a Part Time Academic at Department of Computer Systems, Faculty of IT, University of Technology Sydney from Jan 2004 to July 2005.
I worked as an Associate Lecturer at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, La Trobe University from from November 2002 to June 2003. I was teaching Software Engineering Project (Third year subject) and was tutoring Software Description Techniques (Second year subject).
I worked as Group Leader Software and later as Entity Manager, for Absolute Solutions Inc.'s India operations. I stayed in the position for 1 year (June 2001-July 2002) looking after various Administrative, Project Management and Developmental aspects.
I did my Industrial Training for 6 months (Jan 2000 - July 2000) as part of my 4 year Bachelors degree in sixth semester at NIIT Limited, India's Pilot Centre for Quality at New Delhi. I did various projects with IBM and Nokia, as team member of NIIT and had some Network Administration experience.
Academic Record
I did my PhD Computer Science in the area of Biomedical Ontologies from La Trobe University in 2008 under the able supervision of Prof. Tharam S. Dillon and A/Prof. Wenny Rahayu.
I did my Masters of Computer Science from La Trobe University in 2003. Prof. Tharam S. Dillon, then Head of School of Computer Sc. & Engg., La Trobe University was my supervisor for Masters Thesis.
I did my Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Sc. & Engg. from Punjab Technical University in 2001.
I did my Year 11 & 12 from Govt. Mahindra College, Patiala in Engineering Stream in 1997. It is the oldest and Punjab State's best college for higher education.
I completed my High School from Our Lady of Fatima Convent High School, Patiala in 1995.
